This is one candidate for an online tool to capture information shared on Grow Local. It is one of the options and no decision is made as of Dec 4, 2022 about how to proceed. There are several advantages of using this platform:
Pro (reasons to us this blog format):
- Easy for any google account holder to be added so they can participate in adding new information
- Multi contributor authoring
- "Post by email" -- each authorized user can send to their "secret email"
- Subject line becomes the title of the post
- The body of the email becomes the body of the blog post
- Embedded/attached images show up
- (tags have to be added later)
- Tags make it easy for viewers to find all the posts with that information; for example, soil, water, planting trees, regnerative, mycorrhizal,
- Simple to use - create new post, type or paste in words, add image(s) or videos, and publish!
- Easily accessible using any web browser for visitors
Cons (cautions):
- Need a google account (not everyone has one nor wants one...)
